Cedargrass Oracle

cedargrass:

I love tea, all varieties, and all flavors. Here is a list of all of the brews, combinations, and blends that I have come up with personally that I enjoy. If you’re not partial to herbal teas, I please ask you to try to acclimate yourself. Their health benefits are impossible to ignore, and their…

Herbal tea and tea altogether is excellent for you. When I worked at Teavana, I learned so much about tea. Before I worked there, these were my own crafty recipes for tea that I loved making and some day after my non-compete agreement ends with them in 2015, I will maybe sell my little teas with my deodorants, lotions, oils, and creams I make. :)

Tea is about elegance and discussion. Allow communication and self-expression to guide you through all situations whether internal or vocalized. Sometimes tea is about slowing down from the busy life at hand and focusing on the finer aspects. When this card comes up in a spread, the main theme is understanding the other point of view and as water goes, it deals with the emotions totally. Have you been honest with yourself or others, have you expressed your feelings lately, do you currently need love but can’t find it? Express, ask, speak, know, understand, be aware. ~ Cedargrass Oracle

Motivation Oil Blend

image

Winter is nearly here and the depressive energies have begun to set in for a lot of people. This energy comes in annually for those who live in areas that are affected by the three or four seasons. In the four seasons, Winter is an energy which is that of stagnation, death, ending, pause, and hibernation. Although these energies are abundant, they are merely superficial, and deep within the earth a stirring rebirth is underway. This is often forgotten or hard to embrace during the cold months for many who suffer from Seasonal Depression and the like. Procrastination and a lack of motivation are almost instinctive around this time of year. To cope with this form of depression, sometimes meditation, positive affirmations, awareness of rebirth, adequate lighting to trick the mind to think it’s Summer, and hot baths just don’t do it. That extra oomph can only come from some down right authentic herbal magic and aromatherapy. Even those who are not affected by the seasonal depression can rejoice in this amazing motivation oil.

Necessities

  • Essential oil bottle with roll ball,
  • Olive oil as base oil,
  • Sea salt crystals,
  • Piece of paper & sharpie to label oil,
  • Essential oils: Orange, Lemon, Mint, Rosemary, Citronella,
  • Herbs: Clove bud, Lavender bud, White tea leaf, Green tea leaf, Cedar leaflet, Damiana twig,
  • Crystal beads of: Carnelian, Citrine, Fluorite, Clear quartz, Peridot,
  • Tarot cards: The Chariot, The Sun, The King of Wands, and The Magician.
  • Optional orange candle with the word ‘motivation’ going from the wick down.

Fill the glass bottle about 3/4 with olive oil. Add in 2 drops orange, 2 drops lemon, 1 drop mint, 1 drop rosemary, and 1 drop citronella. Add in each herb then each crystal. As you do them, speak out what you’d like for them to imbue you with each time you rub the oil on your forehead or area of the body. Wine is an optional drink which you’d use to toast and bring energy to the ritual of creation.

  • Olive for foundation and the efficacy of all intentions known and unknown.
  • Orange for cheerfulness, exuberance, joy, creativity, and motivation.
  • Lemon for merriment, happiness, good mood, and personal positive energy.
  • Mint for amplifying energy, consciousness, concentration, and proper attitude.
  • Rosemary for remembrance, knowledge, and repelling unhealthy habits.
  • Citronella for the connection to the summer sun and alertness.
  • Cedar for guidance, protection from negativity discipline, and wisdom.
  • Clove for brightness and preventing all forms of pain.
  • White tea for purity, detoxing the body of bad hormones, and diligence.
  • Green tea for energy and energy enhancement.
  • Damiana for curing depression, passion, and tranquilizing peace.
  • Lavender for healing, cleansing, and relaxing all moodiness.
  • Salt for cleansing all herbs of negativity and the self.
  • Carnelian for motivation, passion, hard work, labor, and creativity.
  • Citrine for confidence, self-esteem, know-how, skill, and intellect.
  • Fluorite for grounding out all headaches, stress, and enhancing memory.
  • Clear quartz to generate and conduct energy and to establish its flow.
  • Peridot for intelligence awareness, deep understanding, and incredible energy reserves.
  • Wine for abundance, knowledge, brilliance, efficiency, and desire.
  • The Chariot - Strength, Victory, Willpower, Motivation, Power.
  • The Sun - Energy, Masculinity, Vitality, Enlightenment, Confidence.
  • King of Wands - Creativity, Inspiration, Passion, Assertion, Boldness, Charisma.
  • The Magician - Manifestation, Action, Concentration, Knowledge, Power.

After you’ve added it all together, give it three soft up-down shakes (to symbolize creation), and place the tarot cards in front of the finished product. These cards are to bring in the necessary manifested identities which you’ll wish to embody. Pray to these cards and imagine their identities becoming the oil. Put the oil blend on an altar in a cauldron or a place to ground out, become created, and sit to exist and become. Rub this oil on your forehead each morning, or your wrists if you’re using your hands. Put it wherever you desire.

On my parchment paper label, I actually cut out on one side several alternating triangles so that when I put the label on the bottle, it looked like a crown to symbolize the King of Wands’ crown.

100 Followers, follow up

Several days ago, I had posted a thank you to reaching 100 followers, but since only one person has responded and it has been several days, the rules have been changed for Cedargrass’s 100 followers accomplishment. Stone tossing, self-made runes, tea leaf reading, tarot, or oracle will be done.

These will either be intuitive or a spread of 16 cards, it’s your choice! It is by this type of thanks to everyone who has followed Cedargrass, for it has provided inspiration and motivation for not only myself, but also others, and has served as an outlet for creative and productive communication, expression, and growth.

The first ten people (before or by September 21) who will receive free life readings should send me a message at cedargrassoracle (at) gmail (dot) com to redeem.

Good luck and thanks!

Mind, body, spirit, and soul tea

With intuition and a vast supply of herbs, teas, and plant material, I’ve come up with a spiritual tea blend that is sure to assist your consciousness with whatever it needs in almost any area of existence. I am in love with this taste and the name definitely describes what it does for you.

Sweet, soothing, spiritual, sentient, sacred, & sophisticated

  • Lemongrass,
  • Oolong,
  • Black, green, and white,
  • Mango,
  • Pomegranate,
  • Geranium petals,
  • Lavender buds,
  • Chamomile,
  • Cinnamon,
  • Mint,
  • Basil,
  • Black Pepper,

Add them all together in a container and use as loose material in an infuser. This tea was drunken with Nag champa and Moldavite burning, it brings about a new sense of emotion and consciousness.

Valerian Root & Mugwort, sleepy dream time tea

A magical rite for increasing dreams and sleepiness. This tea is to be prepared just before bed, it will calm the mind, and allow it to cease the fluttering that often occurs when you lay in bed with a lot of your mind. The magical properties of mugwort will induce a dream-state as soon as you begin sipping the tea. All of your worries will wane into the dream world, allowing subconscious to take over so that you can take a break and finally get that good night’s sleep.

Mint can be home grown or grown in a window sill, mugwort can be grown or bought at local pagan shops (make sure it is food-grade), and valerian is found at any health foods or medicine stores, GNC Health, or anywhere.

Make sure this is done before bed, valerian is psychoactive in that it can mess with your ability to operate heavy machinery and vehicles. Be responsible. The root will induce sleepiness, so be advised.

Requirements:

  • Valerian Root Tea bags,
  • Mugwort, dried or fresh,
  • Mint leaf, dried or fresh,
  • Boiled, purified water,
  • Hematite, Amethyst, and Turquoise.

Pour the boiling water, not to be confused with a rapid boil, over the herbs. Let steep until cool enough to drink. Wave your wand over the mixture, reciting this chant, and after, dip your dominant point finger into it and massage your third eye.

The crystals will be placed around the tea mug as it steeps. These energies, ask them inherently to offer their little energies to add in that essential synergy. Amethyst, hematite, and turquoise are all stones which have been used for centuries in dreams, third eye, psychic works, and sleeping. Place these by your bed side. If you feel you need a physical vice, hold one of them as you fall asleep.

Dreaming, dreaming, restless night,

My mind never clams its ceaseless flight.

I dance in bed whereas should be stone,

All this madness the day has known,

With my tea, drift I into sleep.

Take my worries, dear dreams to keep.

And in my sheets, my restless ways,

Be solved by mugwort, do they not stay.

I must rest and retire from my work.

Valerian aids me, shall my thoughts not lurk.

So tonight I command an absent fight,

Close down my eyes, rest my mind I might.

As it is done, I send my requests to Luna now,

Should her light descend unto my brow.

And as I conjure this magical tea,

So be it now, so mote it be!

After a while, you’ll remember the chant, or at least develop a tune that you can hum while you brew your tea. Let the properties of these herbs aid you in your restlessness and help you get a great night’s sleep! You deserve it!

Homemade Tea Blends

Here is a list of all of the brews, combinations, and blends that I have come up with personally that I enjoy. Most of these herbs I grow myself, so don’t mind the portions I use. If you’re not partial to herbal teas, I ask you to please try and acclimate yourself. Their health benefits are impossible to ignore and their flavors when mixed with natural sweeteners like pure maple syrup, agave nectar, or pure local flower honey are much better than any drink out there. Tea drinking, though maybe cliche, is definitely canonical of the pagan lifestyle.

Even cold-steeping tea is excellent! Remember, when making tea, try to use purified water. Spring water is most always tap water in disguise. Keep fluoride, arsenic, lead, mercury, and chlorine out of your teas.

Reminder: As with any herbal supplement or tea used for consumption, please do research if you are unsure of ingredients. I am no health official so be a smart forager. These are my own personal teas that I love for recreational pleasure and remedial relief.
